Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for a growing industrial services client specializing in hydrovac and vacuum excavation solutions. This individual will own and drive the company’s EHS program across multiple service lines, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting field teams and partnering closely with operations leadership to build and strengthen a safety-first culture. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, field-driven environments and is passionate about driving continuous improvement in safety programs and compliance standards.
Day-to-Day:
Own and lead the EHS program across multiple service lines (hydrovac, vacuum trucks, industrial cleaning)
Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and site visits
Develop and maintain JHAs, JSAs, tailgate talks, and safety plans
Partner with operations teams on site walks and safety planning
Lead incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Oversee new hire safety training and ongoing certifications/program training
Manage safety committee and behavior-based safety programs (Good Catch, Near Miss)
Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926, DOT, EPA, and client-specific requirements
Maintain and inspect safety equipment (air monitoring, SCBA, fall protection, etc.)
Manage housekeeping programs and safety audits across yards, shops, and trucks
Maintain training records, SOPs, and compliance documentation

Required Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of EHS experience in industrial or field operations environments
Experience conducting field safety audits and inspections
Strong experience leading incident and near-miss investigations (root cause analysis)
Hands-on experience developing and implementing JHA/JSA programs
Working knowledge of confined space entry, LOTO, and fall protection
Experience with DOT/PHMSA and EPA/RCRA compliance
Experience supporting field teams and operations environments (not just corporate safety)
Strong documentation skills for training records, SOPs, and compliance programs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in hydrovac, industrial services, construction, or environmental services
Knowledge of refinery Process Safety Management (PSM)
Experience partnering with operations leaders and executive leadership
Experience leading safety committees and behavior-based safety programs
Experience with air monitoring equipment, SCBA, fall protection, and confined space gear
