Job Description

Backend Software Engineer with strong C++ development experience and familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) to support advanced counter-UAS (CUAS) systems. This role focuses on building high-performance backend components that interface with real-time systems, processing data and enabling reliable, mission-critical functionality. This is not an embedded-focused role, but prior exposure to RTOS concepts and environments is essential.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of backend software development experience
Strong proficiency in C++ (modern C++ preferred)
Working knowledge of RTOS concepts (e.g., threading, scheduling, memory management)
Experience building high-performance, low-latency backend systems
Familiarity with system integration and working across software/hardware boundaries
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems (including CUAS or similar domains)
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and multithreaded programming
Exposure to networking protocols, data streaming, or telemetry systems
Understanding of distributed systems or real-time data pipelines
