Job Description

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and is willing to pay between 115,000-160,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Insight Global is seeking an Undersea Warfare Analyst for a top national security and defense-focused client. This individual will join a high-impact analytical team supporting senior Government stakeholders on some of the most complex undersea warfare challenges facing the force today. The role focuses on assessing current and future undersea operations, shaping investment decisions, and informing force structure and capability development. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational background, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership.


Day-to-Day:

- Provide direct analytical support
- Contribute to assessments of undersea operations, security, survivability, and force structure
- Support analysis shaping undersea warfare investments and future capabilities
- Apply a variety of analytical approaches to national security challenges
- Develop and present briefings, white papers, and analytical products
- Deliver clear, actionable recommendations supporting senior-level decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional analysts and stakeholders across DoD organizations

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant field.  A Master’s degree is preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in SSN operations, SSBN operations, and/or undersea warfare
- Demonstration of strong skill sets in research, writing, critical thinking, and analysis  
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to summarize and communicate complex ideas and analytical findings to a variety of audiences  
- U.S. Secret clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience analyzing metrics and conducting operational or technical risk assessment or root cause analysis especially in the areas of undersea warfare
- Experience directly interacting with, briefing, and advising armed service decision makers
