Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant – Real Estate supporting the accounting operations across a hospital in Alexandria, VA. This role reports into the Manager of Accounting functions as a high-impact individual contributor.
This position focuses heavily on financial reporting, reconciliations, and real estate accounting, supporting 4-5 buildings and working closely with the facilities team and building tenants. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in public accounting, GAAP, and financial statement preparation, along with the ability to operate autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally.
This is a highly visible role where the individual will contribute to budgeting, audits, and process improvements, while ensuring financial accuracy and alignment across real estate operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (GAAP)
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end close processes and reporting deliverables
• Prepare audit schedules, tax support, and community benefit filings
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Manage tenant-related accounting (invoices, lease adjustments, communication)
• Partner closely with facilities and operational teams across multiple properties
• Participate in monthly financial review meetings to discuss variances

Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years of accounting experience (public accounting background)
• CPA or Master’s in Accounting/Finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with reconciliations, audits, and financial statement preparation
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills (cross-functional + external stakeholders like tenants)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in real estate accounting (leases, tenant billing, property accounting)
• Healthcare or hospital accounting exposure
• Experience working with budgets and financial audits
Background supporting process improvement initiatives
