SAP WM Architect

We are looking for a senior SAP WM specialist who operates at a solution architect level while still being highly hands-on in configuration and execution.
This role is heavily focused on SAP Warehouse Management (WM) — not a general SAP or MM/WM hybrid role. The ideal candidate has spent the majority of their career working directly within warehouse operations and SAP WM, and can own the solution end-to-end. salary for this role is $130-160k depending on years of experience.

• Own end-to-end SAP WM solutions (design → configuration → optimization)
• Lead hands-on SAP WM configuration, including:
○ Putaway and picking strategies
○ RF transactions and warehouse execution flows
○ Storage bin and warehouse structure design
○ Handling unit and inventory processes
• Support and improve:
○ Inbound, outbound, replenishment, and shipping processes
• Work closely with warehouse operations teams to translate real-world processes into SAP WM solutions
• Troubleshoot complex WM production issues and resolve independently
• Drive continuous improvement of warehouse processes within SAP WM
• Support integrations with:
○ External WMS / 3PL systems
EDI / IDocs / interfaces tied to WM

• 10–15+ years of SAP WM-focused experience (primary expertise)
• Proven experience acting as a WM Solution Architect or Lead
• Strong hands-on SAP WM configuration experience
• Deep knowledge of warehouse execution processes, including:
○ Picking, putaway, replenishment, cycle counting
○ RF-enabled warehouse processes
• Experience working in high-volume warehouse / distribution environments
• Ability to own and resolve issues independently without heavy oversight
Strong interaction with operations teams (not just IT teams)

• SAP EWM exposure
• Experience with automation (WCS, ASRS, etc.)
• Experience integrating with 3PL or external WMS systems
Industry background in distribution, retail, or healthcare supply chain
