C#, React, MSSQL, Azure DevOps) – Secret Clearance

We are seeking a hands on Technical Development Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain C#/.NET applications, React front end components, and MSSQL backed systems supporting mission critical programs. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor with deep Microsoft stack expertise, experience working in complex legacy environments, and the ability to support modernization and integration efforts while aligning with program and customer requirements.
This role focuses on full stack engineering, system enhancement, and technical problem solving, working closely with program teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

Primary Responsibilities
C# / .NET Application Development
• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET applications, APIs, and services supporting enterprise and mission systems.
• Work with legacy .NET Framework components while modernizing to .NET 6+ where appropriate.
• Implement object oriented design principles, design patterns, and modular architectures to support maintainability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain reusable .NET libraries and shared components.
Front End Development (React)
• Build and enhance React based UI components integrated with backend APIs.
• Maintain legacy front end elements where required (e.g., older JavaScript, jQuery).
• Ensure responsive, accessible, and secure user interfaces.
Database Development (MSSQL)
• Design, optimize, and maintain MSSQL schemas, stored procedures, queries, and data models.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and support data driven application enhancements.
Code Quality, Debugging & Maintenance
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to .NET, React, and secure coding best practices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects, performance issues, and technical debt across existing codebases.
• Support refactoring efforts to improve code quality, stability, and long term maintainability.
• Write unit and integration tests to validate functionality and support regression testing.
Technical Proofs of Concept & Modernization
• Develop technical POCs to evaluate new frameworks, architectures, or approaches within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Support technology insertion and refresh efforts, integrating new tools and capabilities into existing systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to program requirements.
• Assist with incremental modernization while maintaining operational continuity.
System Integration & Lifecycle Support
• Collaborate with program management, system architects, and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and non functional requirements.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Work within secure and compliance driven environments, ensuring solutions meet mission and security requirements.

Required Qualifications
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong hands on experience developing C#/.NET applications in enterprise or mission critical environments
• Practical experience with:
o C#, .NET Framework and/or .NET Core
o React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
o MSSQL databases
o Legacy front end libraries (e.g., jQuery, Bootstrap)
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
• Demonstrated experience with secure coding practices and building, testing, and deploying applications
• Experience writing automation scripts (PowerShell preferred)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools
Pay 70-90h
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Preferred / Nice to Have
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Bicep
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure DevOps
• Experience with configuration management and version control using Git
• Exposure to system modernization efforts within legacy enterprise environments
