Job Description

-Provide drafting and design support for the development and update of facility as-built drawings.
-Create, modify, and maintain technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and manual drafting methods as required.
-Ensure all engineering drawings comply with Federal standards and documentation requirements
-Translate field survey data, engineering notes, and design specifications into accurate technical drawings and documentation.
-Maintain drawing libraries and ensure version control and configuration management of engineering documentation.
-Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to incorporate design updates and revisions.
-Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
-Identify discrepancies or potential design issues and recommend corrections.
-Support engineering teams during project design, installation planning, and documentation updates.

Required Skills & Experience

-5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
-US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a public trust clearance.
-Experience: Experience developing technical drawings using CAD tools in engineering, architecture, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments.
-Technical Skills:
-Strong proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
-Experience with 3D modeling and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
-Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise technical drawings and identify discrepancies or errors in engineering documentation.
-Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with engineering, architectural, or manufacturing terminology, symbols, and standards.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience supporting federal infrastructure programs.
-Knowledge of facility engineering documentation and as-built drawing standards.
-Professional certifications such as:
-Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP)
-Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA)
-Experience working with engineering teams supporting telecommunications, facilities, or infrastructure deployments.
