Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Marine Painter that has worked in a shipyard or shop environment supporting NAVSEA work. This will be in a shop environment in Hampton Va.

In this position you will be required to work to MIL-SPEC standards for painting shipboard parts and it would be preferred to have experience with sandblasting to see shop parts through the full blast and coat process.

Day to Day:
- Operate and maintain the blast and coat booth
- Manage the quality of products to be prepped for final inspection
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all work performed, inspections and maintenance
- Daily use of tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.

Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs

Pay: 20-25/hr (may vary depending on certifications and relevant experience)

Required Skills & Experience

- 3 - 5 years Marine Painting experience
- Familiar with MIL-SPEC standards and processes
- Familiar with tools such as: Psychrometers, Profile gauges, DFT gauges, etc.
- Experience with Carbon Steel, Stainless and Aluminum parts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- NBPI Certified (NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector)
- Sandblasting experience or certifications
