Job Description

The Product Owner drives product execution by balancing customer, business, and technical priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Serving as the bridge between Engineering, delivery teams, and business stakeholders, this role owns and prioritizes the product backlog, translating needs into clear requirements and user stories while aligning delivery with customer commitments and product goals. The Product Owner partners closely with Project and Program Management to manage timelines, risks, and expectations, communicates scope and trade‑offs to stakeholders, and makes confident prioritization decisions to keep teams aligned, focused, and moving forward.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or in a similar role within an Agile software development environment
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe
- Maintains clarity, structure, and follow‑through while effectively prioritizing work, balancing customer needs, business value, technical dependencies, resource constraints, and timelines, and supporting effective planning, task sequencing, and team capacity alignment.
- 5+ years of experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and release scope
- 5+ years of proficiency in Jira for backlog management, workflow tracking, sprint planning, reporting, and delivery visibility
- Proficiency in Confluence or similar tools for documentation, requirements capture, knowledge sharing, and cross‑functional alignment
- Strong cross‑functional communicator and problem‑solver who collaborates effectively across teams, translates business and technical needs into clear requirements, navigates ambiguity, and drives clarity on priorities, risks, and business value.
- Ability to support customer‑specific delivery needs while maintaining alignment with overall product strategy and roadmap
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Strong experience with project scheduling / Gantt charts to identify dependencies, determine which tasks can begin first, and prevent schedule delays
- Ability to break down complex development work into manageable tasks, combining project management discipline with hands‑on development experience
- Proactive planner who can lead and prioritize the development team and their workload effectively
- A collaborative problem‑solver who works well across teams, removes blockers, and drives alignment to keep projects moving forward
- Agile certification such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe PO/PM is preferred but not required.
