Job Description

Our customer is seeking a Project Manager to own project scope, schedule, and cost for high-volume utility infrastructure projects. In this role, you will drive projects through all phases – from scoping through final delivery – ensuring on-time completion and budget adherence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and a strong communicator who can coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders to keep a complex project pipeline on track.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Scope, Schedule & Cost: Oversee all aspects of project execution, maintaining control of scope, timelines, and budgets. Track project milestones and adjust plans as needed to meet delivery targets.
• Project Pipeline Coordination: Balance a high volume of concurrent projects (hundreds of small work orders per month) across multiple regions. Plan and prioritize tasks in a first-come, first-served workflow, while expediting high-priority requests when needed.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with 3 regional supervisors (each overseeing their own team) and a financial project manager. Coordinate scheduling with these supervisors to ensure resource availability and adherence to 45/60/90-day planning windows for project phases.
• Phase Tracking & Process Management: Guide projects through defined phases – Scoping, Fielding, Analysis, Design, and Final Package. Use Quickbase (project database) to track all tasks, start/end dates, and deliverables for each phase. Keep the project management system up-to-date, enabling transparency and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate daily with internal teams to review progress and identify bottlenecks (e.g., in weekly production meetings, report expected completions). Engage with external stakeholders (clients or partner companies) primarily to provide schedule updates or explain any delays in process. (Note: deep technical presentations are not required, but clear status reporting is.)
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process efficiencies. Analyze project workflows and suggest improvements to reduce turnaround time or cost. Help the team work smarter by refining how projects move through the pipeline.
