Position Summary:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Fire Alarm Technician to support the installation, inspection, testing, and servicing of fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial buildings. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for candidates looking to start a long-term career in fire/life safety systems. You will work alongside experienced technicians and receive on-the-job training.
Job Description:
• Assist senior technicians with the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage wiring for fire alarm devices
• Install and assist with devices such as pull stations, smoke detectors, horn/strobes, and control panels
• Support basic troubleshooting of system issues under supervision
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (multimeter, basic meters)
• Complete basic service documentation and job reports
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Travel to multiple job sites across the DMV area (typically commercial facilities)

Required Skills & Experience
• Interest in fire alarm systems, electrical work, or life safety systems
• Ability to use a multimeter, basic hand tools, and power tools
• Know the difference between AC and DC Voltage
• Comfort working on ladders and in ceilings or tight spaces
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow in the trade
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude on job sites
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Interest in or experience in of some sort of coding. (Python, C++, etc.)
