Job Description
The Senior Software Tester – AI Capabilities will be responsible for validating and testing AI‑enabled functionality within mission‑critical enterprise applications. This role is 100% focused on testing and works closely with developers to ensure AI capabilities are reliable, performant, and production‑ready in complex, regulated environments.
This position is not a one‑off tester; it is a dedicated, embedded role supporting a growing team (initially two developers and one tester). The tester will be heavily involved in validating AI capabilities and AI platforms, requiring testing approaches that accommodate non‑deterministic behavior where the same inputs may not always produce the same outputs.
Position Responsibilities
-Test AI-enabled application capabilities across enterprise systems
-Validate functionality built on AI capabilities and AI platforms
-Design and execute test strategies for non-deterministic systems
-Perform various forms of testing, including: Mutation testing, Performance and load testing, Acceptance testing
Range, threshold, and objective-based testing
-Execute both manual testing and automation‑supported testing approaches
-Utilize TestCafe for test automation, including: Recording test flows, Generating and maintaining test code from recorded scenarios
-Identify defects, inconsistencies, and edge cases unique to AI-driven behavior
-Work closely with developers to ensure testing is integrated throughout the development lifecycle
-Document test cases, results, and findings clearly for engineering and stakeholder review
-Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Compensation
$67-85/hour
Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
-Experience testing application capabilities that leverage AI systems
-Strong experience testing systems where outputs are not deterministic
-Experience with non-deterministic testing methodologies
-Experience collaborating closely with software engineers in an Agile environment
-Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate system behavior holistically
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience testing AI capabilities and AI platforms
-Experience with TestCafe or similar test automation tools
-Experience with Python is a plus
-Experience testing enterprise or distributed applications
