Description:
Insight Global is seeking an Ammonia Operator for a manufacturing client. This individual will work independently to operate, monitor, and maintain ammonia refrigeration and central utility systems, including boilers, compressed air, and water systems.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems and central utilities
• Start up and shut down compressors, pumps, condensers, and auxiliary equipment
• Monitor temperature, pressure, and amperage readings and make necessary adjustments
• Record system readings and maintain accurate log sheets
• Perform routine inspections and identify equipment needing repair or adjustment
• Conduct basic maintenance such as repacking pumps, cleaning condensers, and replacing parts
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, and all plant safety policies

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with industrial refrigeration or HVAC experience
• Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity and utilities
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing/plant environment
• Holds on Operator 1(CARO) or Operator 2(CIRO) Certification/License
Strong communication skills with plant and maintenance personnel
