Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a talented Top Secret Cleared Security Control Accessor Representative (SCAR) to join one of their defense clients at Hill Airforce Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. The appointed SCAR will collaborate with team members to secure and uphold Authority to Operate (ATO) endorsements, adhering to Risk Management Framework (RMF) protocols for a range of weapon subsystems. The role encompasses the making expert recommendation and strategic guidance during the RMF journey, contributing to the decision making process of the Security Control Accessor (SCA) and Authorizing Official (AO) through reviews and evaluations conducted.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles such as ISSO, ISSM/SSM, SCAR, or related positions, supporting government systems and missions
○ Strong hands-on expertise with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), including applying controls within government environments, conducting vulnerability scanning (ACAS, Tenable.sc, Nessus), and performing configuration and compliance assessments using SCAP/STIG tools
○ Demonstrated technical experience securing complex environments, including Windows and Linux system hardening (STIG implementation), network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud platforms (FedRAMP, AWS/Azure GovCloud), virtualization technologies, database security, and log analysis/SIEM tools such as Splunk and Elastic Stack
○ Proven ability to write, review, and manage security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), in compliance with DoD security requirements, IAVMs, and STIG verification
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with senior leadership and government stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Comp Sci, Mathematics, Engineering etc.)
- Currently holds an active Top Secret Clearance with ability to gain SCI
- Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Ability to sit onsite 5 days a week at Hill AFB

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Masters Degree in a STEM field (Comp Sci, Mathematics, Engineering etc.)
- Previous military background
- IAM level III certification CISM, CISSP, GSLC, and CCISO
