Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a growing utilities construction team in the Manassas, VA area. This individual will work closely with field crews and leadership to reinforce safe work practices, support daily jobsite activities, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines across underground utility projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily jobsite safety activities, including distribution of PPE
- Review safety guidelines and daily action items with field teams
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections and document findings
- Participate in investigation and follow‑up processes when safety findings are identified
- Support QA/QC efforts related to utility line installation
- Complete administrative safety documentation and reporting
- Partner with operations and field leadership to promote a strong safety culture

Required Skills & Experience
- Background in underground utilities construction, including:
- Gas
- Telecom
- Minor electrical utilities
- Experience with QA/QC during utility line installation
- Excavation knowledge required
- Hands‑on construction experience required (not classroom‑only or handbook‑only safety experience)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications:
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 510
- CHST
- CUSP
