Job Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports ship repair operations by performing QA inspections, conducting NDT testing, and ensuring all work meets NAVSEA, blueprint, and procedural requirements. This role audits welding, fitting, and piping work; verifies compliance with technical instructions; documents inspection results; and collaborates with production teams to resolve quality issues. The specialist also maintains inspection equipment, observes subcontractor NDT activities, and provides support to QA and NDT personnel as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 2 years of related technical experience in a NavSea environemnt
-Documentation supporting level II qualification for VT, plus one other NDT method (PT, UT, or MT)
-Knowledge of shipboard structures and systems
-Proficiency in blueprint reading and QA systems
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-ASNT Cert
-Knowledge of the welding process
-Documented ultrasonic inspection experience
