Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a TS/SCI Software Engineer II to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA. This team builds and manages real‑time Cross Domain Solutions that allow simulation data to move safely between Top Secret and Secret environments. They design rulesets and translation logic that strip, transform, or block sensitive data so higher‑classification entities can interact with lower‑classification simulations without exposing restricted details. The focus is on enforcing security rules while preserving realistic training effects across both environments in real time.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and implement CDS rulesets governing data flow between security domains (allow, block, sanitize, or transform data).

· Analyze and map DIS Protocol objects and interactions for compatibility with CDS constraints and fixed-format data packet structures.

· Support integration and modernization of JLVC HLA FOM Protocol components within CDS frameworks.

· Engineer data transformation approaches to convert high-classification non-kinetic effects into lower-classification representations.

· Ensure traceability of training audience actions and system effects across classification boundaries.

· Collaborate with accrediting authorities to ensure CDS compliance with security policies and data handling requirements.

· Leverage and extend existing DIS-based CDS implementations.

· Develop and maintain technical documentation.

· Participate in system testing, validation, and accreditation activities for CDS-enabled capabilities.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, protocol compatibility, and cross-domain transmission.

· Support delivery milestones for the Fully Informed Simulation architecture.

Compensation:

$45/hr to $50hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
