Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Chemistry Field Technician with a strong chemistry foundation who is comfortable working in the field. This role blends chemical knowledge with industrial fieldwork, supporting environmental sampling, equipment interaction, and regulatory compliance activities. This position is ideal for someone with chemistry training who enjoys outdoor, physical, and technical work.
Work Schedule & Travel

10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed
Overnight and midweek travel may be required
Outdoor work, including working at heights up to 300 ft

Key Responsibilities

Perform field-based chemistry and environmental sampling activities
Work with gas systems, fittings, and sampling equipment
Safely make and break fittings and handle industrial hardware
Apply chemistry knowledge to environmental and regulatory processes
Learn and follow field procedures and environmental regulations
Support data collection and documentation related to field activities
Collaborate with technical and field teams to meet project objectives

Pay Range: $20-$30/HR

Required Skills & Experience

College coursework in Chemistry or a related science

Degree preferred but not required


Foundational understanding of chemistry concepts
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in industrial environments
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
Ability to follow safety procedures and work in physically demanding conditions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in:

Chemical, petrochemical, utility, or power industries
Environmental or industrial field work


Experience beyond repetitive lab-only tasks
Evidence of hands-on capability (e.g., mechanical work, outdoor activities, prior field roles)
Comfort working outside a traditional lab setting

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Ability to work at heights
Ability to travel overnight as needed
Must be comfortable handling industrial equipment and fittings
