$130k - $160k (estimate)

Job Description

This position requires a Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. This is a direct hire position and is willing to pay between $130,000-$160,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

This is fully on site in Fairfax, VA.

30% – Management
• Provides management oversight for Human Resources operations, including onboarding, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, training, compliance, and ethics, while overseeing departmental workflows.
• Implements and manages the budget for staffing and the Human Resources department.
• Consults with senior leadership on workforce strategies to support business objectives.
• Stays current on laws, regulations, and best practices related to human resources and employment law.
70% – Operational Day-to-Day HR Support
• Employee Relations
○ Resolves employee conflicts and administers performance improvement plans and terminations.
• Benefits Administration
○ Oversees day-to-day benefits administration and annual medical renewals and contract negotiations.
○ Resolves benefits-related issues with brokers.
○ Ensures qualifying life events are processed accurately and timely.
○ Audits monthly medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefit invoices, including billing and premium adjustments.
○ Manages the annual open enrollment process from start to finish.
• 401(k) Plan Administration
○ Oversees 401(k) plan administration, including fund reviews, nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and audits.
• HR Administration
○ Enters annual compensation increases and generates salary letters for distribution.
○ Manages new hire enrollment, health savings account administration, and employment and salary verifications.
• Compensation and Performance
○ Oversees the organization’s compensation and bonus strategy.
○ Manages the performance management cycle.
• Onboarding
○ Oversees onboarding processes and facilitates new hire orientation sessions.
• Employee Experience and Engagement
○ Plans and executes employee engagement initiatives and company events.
○ Supports company-wide meetings and presentations.
• Executive & Board Support
○ Prepares and presents workforce and headcount reporting materials for board-level meetings.
• Employee Training
○ Coordinates and delivers annual mandatory compliance and ethics training.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
○ Participates in regular internal meetings with operational support teams, including operations, IT, security, and logistics.
• External HR Coordination
○ Responds to requests from external corporate human resources and ethics partners.
○ Participates in recurring coordination calls with external corporate HR stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

-Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, must be okay being processed for a Polygraph
-Bachelor’s degree required, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
-At least 10 years of solid HR operational experience required.
-Mid-sized (500+ employees) government contractor prior work environment preferred
