Job Description

Insight Global is supporting an AEC client in their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This person will act as the Engineer of Record and take the lead on electrical design efforts, from early concept and scope development through detailed design and system selection.

In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to understand project goals and technical requirements, helping shape solutions and serving as a trusted technical partner throughout the project. You’ll manage electrical scopes on both standalone and multi‑disciplinary projects, partnering with project managers to keep work aligned with budgets, schedules, and client expectations.

You’ll oversee and coordinate electrical design across disciplines, ensure designs meet applicable codes and quality standards, and review work produced by other engineers and designers. This includes preparing and reviewing electrical deliverables such as schematics, design development packages, and construction documents, as well as signing and sealing drawings when required.

The role also supports projects through bidding, construction, and commissioning—responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, participating in site visits, and helping guide commissioning activities. You’ll support testing, documentation, and close‑out efforts, including commissioning reports and O&M materials, to ensure systems perform as intended long after project completion.
