Job Description

An Insight Global client is hiring an Electrician for a 6-month contract that will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical and electromechanical systems across an industrial/commercial facility. This role supports a wide range of environments including building utilities, production and lab spaces, office areas, and site infrastructure. The Electrician plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while minimizing downtime through effective preventative and reactive maintenance.
This position requires a strong technical foundation paired with flexibility and a hands on mindset. As the site continues to build out, the Electrician must be comfortable shifting between complex electrical troubleshooting and general facility support tasks. One day may involve diagnosing a motor failure or electrical distribution issue; another may involve installing equipment, running conduit, or assisting with basic site improvements. Success in this role depends on adaptability, problem solving skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team wherever needed.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including normal and emergency power, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, BAS, and low voltage systems
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure facility systems remain safe, compliant, and operational
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions
• Install, inspect, and modify electrical infrastructure, including running conduit, pulling wire, wiring single and three phase motors, and calculating electrical loads
• Monitor and support HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, boilers, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical systems
• Install, rebuild, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, and related equipment
• Support site build out and general facility needs as required, including hands on tasks outside traditional electrical work
• Coordinate work with maintenance teams and other departments while maintaining accurate service records
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling
