Job Description

The Title Agent supports right-of-way (ROW) and utility installation projects by researching property ownership and rights, interpreting deeds/easements and related legal documents, and identifying restrictions or title issues that could impact access, construction, and long-term maintenance. This role performs due diligence using public records (often online, sometimes in person at courthouses) and communicates findings clearly to customers and internal teams, including explaining how legal language applies to utility work occurring on private property.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

Title Agent / Title Specialist
District/Circuit Court Clerk experience handling property records
Paralegal experience with property/land/ROW documentation


Demonstrated ability to interpret legal documents (not just retrieve/pull them) and identify implications for access/ROW/utilities.
Curative title experience and strong issue-spotting skills (defects, restrictions, required cure steps).
Strong communication skills—able to explain legal language clearly to non-legal audiences (customers/internal teams).
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work to deadlines.
