Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. IT Manager with a strong technical and architectural background to support enterprise‑scale platforms and engineering efforts. This leader will guide architectural decisions, oversee cross‑team technical alignment, and drive modernization and platform direction across the organization.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

-Leading enterprise-scale technical initiatives and defining the architectural direction from concept through delivery.
-Evaluating solution options and making decisions that balance business needs, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
-Setting and enforcing technical standards, governance, security practices, and scalability requirements.
-Working closely with engineering, product, business, and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent, well-aligned technical delivery.
-Introducing or assessing new platforms, integration patterns, and emerging technologies to support modernization efforts.
-Guiding teams across multiple workstreams to maintain architectural alignment during fast-moving development.
-Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both senior technical leaders and non‑technical stakeholders.
-Providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to engineering teams as they deliver enterprise solutions.
-Ensuring architectural documentation, decision records, and platform roadmaps remain up-to-date and actionable.

Compensation:

$145,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

-10+ years of technology, engineering, consulting, or enterprise solution delivery experience.
-Proven success leading large enterprise initiatives with multiple teams and complex dependencies.
-Strong ability to speak technical at a conceptual or architectural level, with confidence engaging senior technical leaders.
-Experience making architectural decisions and guiding engineering teams toward scalable, sustainable solutions.
-Experience with platform direction, technical governance, integration patterns, or modernization work.
-Ability to balance long-term technical sustainability with near-term business needs.
-Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
-Ability to influence engineering teams and ensure solutions align to enterprise standards.
-Experience evaluating and introducing new technologies or platforms.
-Clear communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience leading modernization initiatives (cloud adoption, platform upgrades, re‑architecture, integration redesign).
-Background as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Engineering Manager.
-Hands-on familiarity with modern cloud platforms, integration patterns, microservices, or API governance.
-Experience enforcing architectural standards across multiple engineering teams.
-Experience implementing or maturing architecture review boards or governance processes.
-Prior work driving platform roadmaps or cross‑team technical planning.
-Strong experience evaluating emerging technologies or recommending new tech approaches.
-Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex tech stacks.
-Ability to create or refine architecture documentation, roadmaps, and decision logs.
-Background in environments that prioritize scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
