Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Data Centre Engineer to join an enterprise AAA game company hybrid out of Virginia on a permanent basis. The Infrastructure and Platform team is the backbone of the company’s global gaming ecosystem, delivering the technology that powers live games and player experiences. The team provides a deep portfolio of digital platform gaming services and production infrastructure to the game studios. From scalable cloud solutions to AI-driven gameplay services, the team ensures that the company’s games are available anytime, anywhere for millions of players worldwide. The Data Center Engineer will report to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure Reliability. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, network equipment, and related hardware
Manage physical cabling, rack layouts, power distribution, and equipment inventory
Respond to hardware failures, system alerts, and environmental alarms, ensuring minimal downtime
24/7 on call rotation to support the local data center
Coordinate with vendors for RMAs, equipment replacements, and technical support
Maintain accurate documentation of rack diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incident reports

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support
1+ years of experience with server hardware, storage systems, networking basics, and virtualization
1+ years of experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
Ability to lift and install equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in data center environments
