As a Python Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of application development projects in support of the IT infrastructure. You will leverage your Python expertise to create and deploy applications, contribute to large-scale data processing, and support advanced analytics to enhance a forensic and investigative ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements:

Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
This position is onsite 5/days a week in Chantilly, VA
May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Approximately 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Python.
Familiarity with the SAFe Agile framework.
Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements is a plus.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing software solutions.
Required Technical Skills

Python Proficiency:

Strong proficiency with Python, including its libraries and frameworks.
Experience in system architecture design using Python.
Additional Technical Skills:

Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte).
Experience with data streaming and integration technologies such as Apache NiFi.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Basic knowledge of GraphQL.
General understanding of microservices architecture.
Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies.
Experience working in classified environments is a plus.
Required Technical Experience:

Responsibilities:

Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities using Python.
Modify existing Python code and recommend process improvements.
Automate operations and maintenance tasks using Python and related automation tools.
Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
Contribute to planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance.
Participate in technical project milestone reviews and code architecture sessions.
Provide resource estimation and development best practices knowledge transfer.
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
Python Development:

Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects focusing on Python.
Implement technical efforts using Python for data processing and computational modeling.
