Job Description

CFA Institute is a global, mission‑driven organization dedicated to advancing ethics, education, and professional excellence in the investment industry. The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) plays a central role in enabling strategic execution across the Institute. The Business Analyst supports this mission by translating business needs into actionable requirements, strengthening project outcomes, and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic requirements analysis Partner with business leaders to understand objectives, assess needs, and translate them into clear, structured requirements for projects and programs.
Process mapping and optimization Document current‑state processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and collaborate with stakeholders to design improved future‑state workflows.
Portfolio and project support Support the EPMO in evaluating project proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and maintaining accurate portfolio data.
Data‑driven insights Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform decision‑making, including cost‑benefit assessments, impact analysis, and performance metrics.
Stakeholder engagement Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather input, validate requirements, and build consensus across global teams.
Documentation and communication Produce high‑quality business cases, user stories, process documentation, and executive‑level summaries that support clarity and alignment.
Change readiness support Partner with change management teams to assess organizational impacts, support communication planning, and ensure smooth adoption of new processes or systems.
Quality assurance collaboration Work with project managers and technical teams to validate solutions, support testing activities, and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience as a BA ideally in a global or matrixes organization
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights
