Job Description
A federal contracting company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their small in house accounting team and focus heavily on AP at a high volume. The Accountant supports day to day accounting activities while contributing to accurate financial records, timely close processes, and compliance controls. This role partners closely with internal teams to ensure transactions are properly reviewed, recorded and reconciled, and plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity across accounts payable, expense reporting, payroll support and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-5 years of professional accounting experience at a company with revenue in the $50-100M range.
- Experience with Accounts Payable.
- 1-2 years minimum experience supporting transactional accounting operations, including vendor invoices, expense reporting, and payroll coordination.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working with Unanet or related accounting software.
- Experience supporting government or federal contract accounting environments, including DoD, DHS, or other agencies.
