Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in Arista, Cisco, and Cloud Networking to join our team. In this role, you will design, install, maintain, and evaluate advanced network systems and communications infrastructure across various security enclaves-Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret. You will gather and analyze user network requirements, provide detailed technical documentation, and support a multi-enclave environment that ensures secure data access.

Required Skills & Experience

Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
This position is onsite 5/days a week in Chantilly, VA
May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years in network engineering, with specific experience in Arista, Cisco, and cloud networks.
Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
Strong understanding of multi-enclave network environments.
Proven experience in designing and implementing secure networks in government settings.
Relevant network certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) preferred.
Required Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency is required in:

Network hardware (Arista, Cisco, SonicWall)
Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S)
Firewall setup and management
Load balancer deployment
Software-defined networking
VPN technologies
Network security principles
Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Network performance enhancement
Additional Technical Experience:

Cloud networking (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
Containerization networking (Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
Cross-domain solutions
Network automation and orchestration
DevSecOps practices and tools
SAFe Agile methodologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Responsibilities:

Develop and install network and communication systems to meet organizational needs.
Utilize multiple methodologies to collect user network requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
Create comprehensive system and security documentation.
Resolve complex network issues involving various protocols, topologies, and networking hardware.
Assist in network architecture design and conduct feasibility and cost studies.
Apply technical and business acumen to enhance processes for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure.
Work independently and as part of a team to improve network setup and performance
Design, deploy, test, certify, and apply patches to network components, including switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Address interoperability issues for features, components, and dependent applications.
Engage in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
Respond to and resolve critical network issues within established timelines.
