Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Technical Lead to join our team at the Navy Warfare Development Center. In this role, you will support the Maritime Operations Center – Exercise Support Team and NSWC-Corona, delivering Navy Live Virtual Constructive training across global Areas of Responsibility.

-Act as technical team lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FST-O training events.
-Lead event planning, testing, and execution in compliance with NCTE Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); recommend updates and develop new SOPs.
-Coordinate with NCTE operators, engineers, and MOC training teams to ensure systems and personnel support.
-Manage technical resources and resolve issues during event planning and execution.
-Maintain and enhance modeling and simulation tools aligned with Navy doctrine and evolving military capabilities.
-Use Confluence and JIRA for documentation, scheduling, and issue tracking; keep stakeholders informed.
-Support distributed training events and attend planning conferences as needed.
You will lead technical planning and execution for Fleet Synthetic Training events, collaborating with military, government, and contractor leadership. This position requires flexibility for non-standard hours and occasional travel.

Pay rate is 35/hr to 45/hr

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience OR Master’s degree OR High School diploma + 6 years experience.
-Certifications: Linux and/or Microsoft professional certification; Security+ required.
-Active Top Secret clearance.
-Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, UDP) and distributed simulation protocols (HLA, DIS).
-Military experience and familiarity with JLVC-supported FST events.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills.
