Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a creative and strategic Communications & Graphic Design assitant to report to the Communications and Marketing Manger. This will be a contract to potential permanent role onsite in Richmond, VA. This role will support our client's mission by producing compelling content and visuals that engage members, promote manufacturing initiatives, and strengthen our brand presence across digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development:
Write and edit corporate email newsletters highlighting programs, advocacy efforts, and member news.
Create engaging social media content for LinkedIn and other platforms to promote events, policy updates, and workforce initiatives.
Draft press releases to communicate our client's achievements and industry news.
Graphic Design:
Design informational flyers and marketing collateral for events, training programs, and advocacy campaigns.
Develop graphics for social media posts and e-newsletters that reflect our client's brand identity.
Ensure all designs align with established fonts, colors, and iconography.
Brand Management:
Build new brand elements for special initiatives and campaigns.
Maintain and evolve client's visual identity across all channels.
Digital & Web:
Update and edit website content using WordPress to keep members informed about events, resources, and policy updates.
Create short-form videos (≤30 seconds) for social media reels showcasing our events and member stories.
Photography & Videography:
Capture photos and videos at our events using mobile devices.
Perform basic video editing for social media content.

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in corporate communications and graphic design, preferably in association or nonprofit settings.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
Familiarity with WordPress for website content updates.
Basic video editing skills for social media reels.
Core Competencies:
Strong writing and editing skills for newsletters, press releases, and social media.
Ability to design visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics.
Understanding of brand development and visual identity.
Comfortable using mobile devices for photography and videography.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with manufacturing or economic development sectors is a plus.
Experience with wordpress
