Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer. You will work with a solution that is a hyperconverged, multitenant private cloud hosting environment for hosting enterprise and tactical applications. You will be utilizing VMware products (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, vCloud Foundations, ARIA Automation) to implement a Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) across multiple global sites. Our client provides value-added common and managed services that host applications. The role involves collaborating with engineers to design and maintain the clients architecture while developing, deploying, and sustaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network architecture and customer enclave provisioning. Responsibilities include daily network administration, such as patching and upgrading components, monitoring resource health, and escalating critical issues to the client lead. The position requires hardening the network in line with commercial best practices and government cybersecurity controls, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hosting platform issues, and providing on-call support for after-hours incidents. Additionally, the role includes creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation—such as system diagrams, network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures—and recommending improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across clients network enclaves. Salary from $115K-145K.
