Job Description

• Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure across multiple classification levels supporting legacy DoD application migration to secure cloud environments
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
• Monitor cloud system performance, availability, and security posture to ensure optimal operations
• Configure and manage virtual machines, containers, storage systems, and networking components within DoD specifications
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures for mission-critical systems
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST, STIG)
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and implement comprehensive solutions
• Manage cloud cost optimization and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency
• Maintain detailed documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, and system architectures
• Participate in security assessments and vulnerability remediation efforts across all classification levels
• Support 24/7 operations and participate in on-call rotation as required for mission continuity
• Interface with customers and external stakeholders in technical working groups and exchange meetings
• Chair/co-chair technical meetings and working groups on behalf of government representatives as directed
• Resolve problems, allocate resources, and monitor performance to meet contract requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Ensure compliance with DoD Directive 8140 and related cybersecurity workforce requirements
• Identify and recommend GOTS/COTS solutions for infrastructure automation and monitoring

Salary: 170K

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field from an ABET accredited institution, OR 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in cloud systems administration and infrastructure management
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing technical personnel in IT/cybersecurity environments
• Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Advanced proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows server administration
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK stack, Prometheus)
• Deep familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks
• Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, JSON/YAML)
• Experience with DoD IL4/IL5 cloud environments preferred
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Meets the Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks (KSATs) defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for applicable work roles
