Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Cloud Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based data quality solutions for a client. The Engineer should specialize in AWS data services (Glue, RDS, Athena, Lambda, S3), data governance, and quality frameworks. They will drive automation, monitoring, and compliance for enterprise data initiatives. The hourly pay rate is $65-85/hr and based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement data quality dashboards, classification, and retention mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain data lakes, CDC services, and data lifecycle workflows.
• Build and optimize data service APIs using AWS-native tools.
• Lead data validation, anomaly detection, and metadata management efforts.
• Ensure compliance with agency data policies and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- Senior cloud engineer with a focus in data quality, governance, and advanced AWS data services
- Strong understanding of design and infrastructire architecture
- Advanced proficiency in AWS data engineering (Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, S3).
- Expereince developing and maintaining data lakes
- Strong experience with data quality frameworks and cloud-native orchestration.
- Expertise in API development, serverless computing, and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- AWS Data Engineer Associate and Solution architect Professional Certification
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or NIST Data Management
