Job Description

This position is willing to pay between 70-90K depending on experience and qualifications.

Seeking a Naval Budget Analyst to provide on-site financial and programmatic oversight for Marine Corps and Navy shipbuilding, modernization, and maintenance funding. This role involves budget tracking, analysis, and reporting.

• Track ship equities and related programs within acquisition processes (JCIDS, DAS, PPBE)
• Participate in Naval Staff processes and program reviews (R3B, MROC, NCB, JCIDS)
• Evaluate, track, and report appropriations for shipbuilding and life cycle management
• Forecast DoD strategic budget planning processes and resource reporting requirements
• Analyze alignment of Future Years Defense Program with USMC priorities
• Prepare reports and briefings on USMC market share within shipbuilding appropriations
• Develop gap analyses, cost benefit analyses, and risk statements
• Prepare briefing materials to communicate PPBE requirements and impacts
Administrative Duties
• Assist in publishing the annual organizational report
• Prepare monthly accomplishment reports and travel documentation
• Complete required annual government training

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
• On-site office environment with military, civilian, and contractor personnel
• Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs. per person)

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate rental vehicles

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field and 10+ years relevant experience (15+ years in lieu of degree)
• Experience in DoD/Navy fiscal management, PPBE, JCIDS, DAS, PBIS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance
