A client of Insight Global is looking for a fully remote Fractional CFO for a year-to-year ongoing contract to join their growing team. They are a trusted partner for small and midsize businesses seeking reliable financial management, bookkeeping, payroll, and CFO advisory services. They leverage technology and industry expertise to drive client success and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on accounting background, advanced certifications, and a passion for leveraging technology—including AI—to deliver exceptional client outcomes. You’ll play a key role in financial oversight, advisory, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze client books for accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and interpret financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
• Deliver CFO-level advisory services to diverse clients across industries
• Oversee and mentor a team of bookkeepers and operations staff
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting
• Utilize Syft Analysis software for advanced financial analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with clients on financial strategy, performance improvement, and growth planning
• Embrace and optimize AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and insights
• Ensure effective use of MS365 (Excel, Teams, Planner, etc.) for collaboration and productivity

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Or equivalent relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, data visualization)
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and present financial statements
• Experience preparing budgets and managing cash flow for multiple entities
• Strong background in accounting, financial planning, and advisory
• Expert user of MS365 suite
• Comfortable with technology and AI-powered tools
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• QuickBooks Pro-Advisor certification (active)
• Xero certified (active)
• Certified in Syft Analysis software (or able to obtain certification promptly)
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
