Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer based in Dahlgren, VA. This Engineer must have a secret clearance and IAT Level II Certification. This Engineer will be delivering Operation & Maintenance (O&M) support for Windows servers, such as implementing patch management protocols and ensuring security and information assurance for the organization, and needs 7+ years of previous experience. Strong experience with Windows Active Directory infrastructure current Microsoft Windows systems is important. Experience creating system specifications, test evaluations, reports and design requirements, along with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hardware and software deployment strategies, is also required. This Engineer needs customer support experience, resolving help desk issues, and delivering support for VMWare, Splunk, IBM Endpoint Manager, and NetApp enterprise storage infrastructures. Experience designing, implementing and managing automated deployments of Windows 20162019 Servers, and supporting Windows server migrations is important. Knowledge of SAN fundamentals, such as LUN provisioning and virtual machine, zoning, and snapshots is also required. This Engineer must also have an understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) networking, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) package for system security. Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical skills is important for this role. The salary ranges from $110,000-$115,000, based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• Secret clearance, IAT Level II Certification
•7+ years' experience delivering Operation & Maintenance (O&M) support for Windows servers, such as implementing patch management protocols and ensuring security and information assurance for the organization
• Strong experience with Windows Active Directory infrastructure current Microsoft Windows systems.
• Experience creating system specifications, test evaluations, reports and design requirements
• Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hardware and software deployment strategies
• Customer support experience, resolving help desk issues, and delivering support for VMWare, Splunk, IBM Endpoint Manager, and NetApp enterprise storage infrastructures
• Experience using Symantec NetBackup to configure and support domain backup solutions
• Experience administering and overseeing endpoint solutions
• Experience designing, implementing and managing automated deployments of Windows 20162019 Servers, and supporting Windows server migrations
• Knowledge of SAN fundamentals, such as LUN provisioning and virtual machine, zoning, and snapshots
• Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical skills
• Understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) networking, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and other security accreditation requirements
• Understanding of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) package for system security

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Understanding of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host Based Security System (HBSS)
• Experience with Splunk, WSUS and IBM Endpoint Manager
•Understanding of scripting languages with Powershell and PowerCLI
