Job Description
A government client of Insight Global is seeking a Low-Band System Software Support Engineer to join their team at Langley AFB, VA. We are looking for a Low-Band support engineer that has COMINT (communications intelligence), and DCGS (Distributed Common Ground Systems) experience. This individual will be responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure issues, including servers, network, and security, using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure proper functionality. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT infrastructure issues related to user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity. Additionally, this Systems Administrator will provide system administration for assigned infrastructure, establish and maintain system security, apply security patches, and perform operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. This individual will support new infrastructure projects and maintain all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent problem-solving skills. This is a 6-month contract position with an extension possible that requires an active TSSCI clearance or a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. This is an on-site position at Langley Airforce Base in Hampton, Virginia. This is a 24/7 environment so this individual will need to be open to day, mid, and swing shifts as well as holidays and weekends when needed. - Linux/Unix experience
