A Property Management client in the Richmond VA area is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a contract to hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems for leases, maintenance records, and tenant communications
Assist with scheduling appointments, property inspections, and team meetings
Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
Greet and assist visitors, tenants, and vendors
Track and order office supplies and ensure common areas are tidy and stocked
Support property managers with administrative tasks related to tenant onboarding, lease renewals, and maintenance requests
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries

Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or administrative certification is a plus
1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in real estate or property management
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
