Insight Global is in search of a seasoned technical sales representative to cover their client's Central and Northern portions of Virginia along with strategic accounts in Washington, DC and Maryland. The ideal candidate would be located in Central or Northern Virginia. The client offers excellent benefits including QSEHRA, 401k match, profit sharing, paid Holidays, etc.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Daily/weekly sales calls with customers to promote products and services for principals that APS represents
• Develop and implement strategic plans to promote sales and product growth goals
• Expected to generate significant leads through professional sales tactics and networking within the engineering community
• Weekly updates of sales activities and opportunities

Required Skills & Experience
Skills and Experience preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related industry experience
• Minimum of five years of relevant industry/sales experience
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Knowledge of utility and/or industrial electrical power distribution systems
• Experience selling into electrical utility, industrial, commercial, and government accounts
• Experience working with consulting engineering firms and system integrators to drive product specifications
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn the basic fundamentals of protective relaying, metering, and control of electrical systems (PLC/DCS), cybersecurity as it relates to networking and SCADA communications, and testing and maintenance of electrical apparatus
• Must be willing to travel within the assigned geographic region and to annual sales training and conferences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Experience with Salesforce.com CRM software
