Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced, highly qualified patent associate attorney or patent agent for our Reston, Virginia or Boston, Massachusetts offices, or for remote work.
The candidate will focus mainly on the original drafting and prosecution of patent applications in one or more of the following technical fields: semiconductor devices, optical devices, semiconductor device manufacturing and optical device manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in drafting original patent applications in one or more of the above technical fields. Portable business is not required. However, candidates who have strong client communication and development skills with the desire and ability to take a lead role in managing and growing client accounts are encouraged to apply.
Target salary between $125-200K annually

Required Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate is a registered U.S. patent attorney with at least a B.S. in electrical engineering.
However, candidates with a B.S. or advanced degree in other technical fields such as physics, materials science, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering will be considered. In particular, candidates with industry experience in semiconductor devices and their fabrication will be considered.
Electrical Engineering candidates with mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus.
Experience:
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of patent experience in prosecuting existing and drafting new patent applications or patent examination, preferably with patent or technical experience in one of the fields noted above.
