Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Civil Engineer with experience in dam safety and hydropower infrastructure. The successful candidate will support the inspection, analysis, and design of high and low hazard dams, tunnels, and slopes. This role is critical to ensuring the structural integrity and regulatory compliance of our hydroelectric facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• - Perform inspections and stability analyses of high and low hazard dams.
• - Conduct geotechnical instrumentation reviews and identify potential issues through trend analysis.
• - Evaluate high-pressure tunnels and slope stability conditions.
• - Prepare and perform engineering calculations and design recommendations.
• - Support FERC compliance through hands-on inspection and documentation.
• - Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to address plant-wide issues.
• - Provide technical input on capital projects and review associated documentation.
• - Maintain detailed records and prepare technical reports for internal and regulatory use.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 based on years of experience

Required Skills & Experience

• - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• - PE license required.
• - Experience with FERC-regulated dams and hydropower infrastructure.
• - Hands-on experience in dam inspections, slope stability analysis, and geotechnical instrumentation.
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
