The Outside Sales Rep is responsible for generating sales, developing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities while selling industrial and marine electrical components. This is a commission-eligible role. Compensation will be discussed at the time of offer and structured as a salary with a transition to commissions. The current pay range is depending on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and implement strategic sales plans to consistently achieve or surpass revenue targets.
Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and strategic networking.
Foster and sustain strong, long-term relationships with both customers and vendor partners.
Evaluate market trends and customer needs to deliver customized, value-driven solutions.
Generate accurate sales forecasts and monitor performance against established goals.
Contribute to the development of sales and marketing initiatives, including the launch of new products and services.
Serve as a professional representative at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient order fulfillment.
Create and deliver persuasive presentations highlighting product offerings, systems, and services.
Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
This role will start as an on site / hybrid role for the first 90 days or so then will progress into a remote opportunity once the candidate knows the team and understands the role.
Must have reliable transportation since travel is required. Territory includes but is not limited to SE VA / Hampton Roads area.

This role requires minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and sales within the industrial electrical sector, a strong customer focus, and a results-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated success in sales within industrial and electrical sectors
Exceptional communication abilities and a talent for building lasting relationships
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess customer needs and deliver effective solutions
Highly self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to achieving sales objectives
Strong technical background in electrical systems as a electrical technician, engineer, electrician, panel builder, industrial automation specialist, or related field.
