Job Description

The main function of a construction manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc. Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer/Construction Manager has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Job Responsibilities:
Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.

Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.


Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

pay for this role is between 40-55/hr

Required Skills & Experience

BS in Mechanical Engineering
10 years of experience within Construction of Hyperscale Data Centers
Ability to make engineering drawings
Read and interpret blueprints
Business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods
MEP Experience
Previous Experience managing a Safety Program

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience working at a utility company.
PMP / PMI Certification
