Job Description

We are recruiting for a fulltime Senior Project Manager position for a large multiple-award federal design-build program. This position has longterm employment possibilities. Primary duties will include complete responsibility for managing contract award processes, pre-construction planning, directing and overseeing the successful execution of the projects, preparing proposals, estimating, bid documents, closeout, overall P/L of the project and completion of design-build and construction projects. These tasks involve technical knowledge, extensive communication and coordination skills, consideration for quality control and safety on the job, cost control, labor resources, purchasing, material expediting, and a wide variety of project and contract paperwork and documentation. These tasks must provide team management, networking and handling of subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining positive client relationships.

The position reports to Executive Leadership. The Project Manager will also seek out and initiate other program and project opportunities, and will work at an independent level, with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities
Preparation and/or review of submittals Submittal registers, transmittal documents, lists of contracting/subcontracting personnel, catalog cuts, sample products & materials, submittal packages for approval by government and design engineers.
Providing research assistance for suppliers, equipment manufacturers, specialty subcontractors, project and contractual requirements and information within or related to the contract documents.
Manage and coordinate subcontractor submittals, drawings and other deliverables.
On Design-Build projects, manage and coordinate the design-build team including designers, subcontractor, vendors for compliance with contract requirements, and to meet budget and schedule requirements.
Manage Request for Proposal associated with Project including preparation, estimating and review of proposal requirements and pricing.
Prepare and update project cost loaded CPM schedule.
Prepare and submit monthly pay application to client. Review and approve subcontractor pay applications.
Manage internal project staff.
Ensure project compliance with contract requirements.
Facilitate client, subcontractor and other meetings to support successful delivery of the project and customer satisfaction.
Proactively manage proposal and procurement process to include assisting with any aspect of the bid whether product quotes, additions packages, competitive proposals, pricing analysis, market research, general proposal review, or front-end business assistance and strategy development.
Prepare and maintain project financial cost reports and budget forecasts. The Project Manager has Profit/Loss responsibilities for Project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

Must have BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
Must be a US Citizen.
Minimum 10 years experience with design-build construction projects.
At least one of the following certifications or registrations:
Active Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Active Project Management Professional (PMP)
Active Designated Design-Build Professional
Active Licensed Professional Registration, e.g. Registered Professional Engineer or Registered Architect.
Firm-fixed price Federal construction design-build and bid-build projects preferred.
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
In-depth understanding of GSA, NAVFAC, USACE, WHS and other federal agency contract vehicles.
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, scheduling software, Procore, BlueBeam, etc.
Hold a security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
