Insight Global is looking for a Mid-Level Network Engineer to sit on site in Staunton, VA supporting a State Agency at the Enterprise level. This individual is joining a small team and needs to be skilled in day to day networking tasks including maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuring. This individual will have need to be on site 5 days a week and will need to be on call in the event an issue happens on the network after hours one week out of the month. The main tasks of this individual will be helping with network configurations, monitoring of the network, and assessing the overall efficiency of the network and implementing potential solutions to increase that efficiency. They will also be looking at current configurations of the network to see if there are any ways to repair and improve the environment but will also be responsible for helping the team overall with tasks such as assisting with deployments, maintaining inventory, creating documentation, resolving connection issues, and maintaining the network overall. For someone of this skillset we are looking to pay between $35- $50/hr.

- 3 - 4 years of experience in IT, troubleshooting networking issues and assessing network efficiency
- Familiarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Etc) and understanding the pros and cons of using these in various scenarios
- Experience working with Cisco Networking Equipment
- Experience monitoring the network for issues
- Experience designing and architecting networks and solutions
- Understanding the security piece of networking and how different solutions impact the overall security of the network
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Networking Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Juniper Certs, Brocade Certs, Aruba Certs
