Insight Global is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Lab Technician to join one of our clients' Physical Properties Testing team within the R&D Analytical Department in Richmond, VA. In this hands-on laboratory role, you will perform analytical testing of physical properties such as flash point, viscosity, and insoluble materials. You will work under the guidance of experienced chemists and technicians while learning industry-leading best practices and contributing to the development of next-generation fuel and lubricant additives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Participate actively in a strong safety culture and maintain full compliance with safety policies and procedures (ISO, company, and industry standards).
- Conduct physical property tests, including flashpoint, viscosity, and insoluble materials, following established laboratory protocols.
- Ensure accurate documentation and quality control within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 standards.
- Use Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and basic computer tools to record and manage test data.
- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across departments to support project goals.

- Associates or bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical technology.
- Experience working in a chemistry or analytical laboratory environment.
- Customer or client-facing experience.
