Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing Azure services across networking, systems administration, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud computing concepts and expertise in Azure services to ensure the scalability, security, and integration of our cloud infrastructure. The pay rate for this role is $55-75/hr and based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Networking: Design, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, network security groups, and VNet peering to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
- Systems Administration: Deploy and manage Azure IaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and Azure Active Directory. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Security: Implement and optimize Azure security controls, including Azure Key Vault for key management, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel for threat detection and response.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize Azure monitoring services to track performance, security, and compliance. Optimize resources for cost-effective and efficient cloud operations.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and other automation tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Application Administration: Administer and manage applications hosted on Azure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- ServiceNow Integration: Create dashboards and integrate Azure with ServiceNow for streamlined operations and enhanced visibility.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with industry standards and conduct regular audits to validate and optimize security posture.
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Deploy and manage IaaS solutions, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure administration and engineering
- Strong knowledge of core IaaS Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Azure AD)
- Scripting in PowerShell
- Proficient in ServiceNow and KSC integration.
- Windows & Linux system administration experience
- Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring best practices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Strong network engineering skillset
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
- Technical writing skills
