Network Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of their top financial clients in the McLean, VA area. This individual will be joining the Public division of Global Banking Markets technology, specifically the RIA Engineering group. This team is focused on a new number of new initiatives centered around their two more popular products. These efforts are combination of maintenance of the current environment, as well as optimization efforts. Were seeking an individual with a very strong Cisco Networking background who can provide hands on maintenance, support and engineering as needed. They will be expected to handle matters around network performance, cabling, configuration, network security, disaster recovery and cloud. While this role is mostly BAU work, this person will be expected to contribute to optimization efforts and new developments over time.

-3-9 years experience as a Network Engineer
-Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Cisco preferred
-Strong knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF.
-Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
-Familiarity with cloud-based networking technologies, such as AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network etc
-Experience with network monitoring tools
-Working knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, for network automation.

-CCNA, CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certs
