Job Description

Architect and implement end-to-end Azure Virtual WAN topologies for global connectivity.
Design and deploy secure and scalable networking for Azure VMware Solution (AVS), including NSX-T, ExpressRoute, and integration with Azure-native services.
Engineer and manage Palo Alto firewall deployments in Azure, including rule sets, integrations, and high availability.
Configure and support ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and hybrid connectivity using BGP and route filters.
Design and implement VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, route tables, and associated Azure network security components.
Configure and manage VNet peering, Private Link, and service endpoints to ensure secure workload communication.
Engineer networking for AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters, including CNI integrations, private clusters, ingress traffic, and security.
Develop DR-capable network architectures across Azure regions and between cloud and on-prem sites.
Collaborate closely with security, platform, and application teams to align on design and policy enforcement.
Produce detailed technical documentation and operational handoff guides.
Provide Tier-3 support and troubleshoot complex network issues as needed.

Pay Range: $50/hr - $85/hr

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of network engineering/architecture experience, including hands-on implementation.
8+ years of experience with Azure networking, including production-level deployments.
Deep hands-on experience with Azure Virtual WAN, AVS networking, and NSX-T.
Expertise with deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of ExpressRoute, BGP routing, hybrid connectivity, and VPN technologies.
In-depth familiarity with Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway.
Solid experience implementing AKS networking, with an understanding of ingress/egress traffic and security models.
Proven ability to design and execute disaster recovery (DR) network solutions using Azure-native services.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Infrastructure-as-code experience with ARM templates.
Azure certifications such as AZ-700 (Network Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert).
Familiarity with enterprise networking standards, governance, and security controls.
