We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil engineer with a strong background in the solid waste industry, site design, and land development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, coupled with 23 years of hands-on experience in civil site design projects, including commercial properties, shopping centers, landfills, and landfill expansions/closures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects while building relationships with clients and overseeing design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed drawings and designs from scratch using AutoCAD Civil 3D (Intermediate to Advanced level).
Manage end-to-end civil site design projects, including landfill expansions, closures, and construction oversight.
Collaborate with clients to discuss project needs, permitting, subcontractor coordination, and approvals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring quality service delivery.
Oversee project management tasks, including developing schedules and managing resources.
Perform technical analyses, including cut-fill calculations, stormwater management, and waste-sizing evaluations.
Day-to-Day Duties:
Take ownership of assigned projects, addressing client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Collaborate with team members and work closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless execution.
Conduct site visits (approximately 10% travel) to locations such as Baltimore, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Fauquier.
Provide on-site support during construction phases, as needed (frequency may vary depending on project requirements).

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D: Ability to create designs and drawings independently.
